Agility Trial Results - July 13-14, 2000

WESTERN REGIONAL SPECIALTY - JULY 13

The agility trial was a great success by all accounts! The trial was well attended with 81 competing and 26 qualifying in the Standard and JWW classes combined. Under the expert and efficient judging of Nancy Gyes, the trial ran for 4 and ½ hours. The course designs were well suited to goldens, and were reasonably challenging at each level. It was particularly exciting to see many successful first time teams in the Novice classes and several new move-ups to the Open and Excellent classes.

Special thanks to our judge, Nancy Gyes. Thanks also to the many helpers and exhibitors who helped build courses, keep time, score, set poles, steward, etc. Finally, congratulations and thank you to all the teams who participated in the agility trial!

NORCAL GRC SPECIALTY - JULY 14

The agility trial was a highlight at the specialty! It kept the festivities going strong well into the evening. The qualifying rate was very high at nearly one third, with 78 dogs in competition and 25 green ribbons awarded (Standard and JWW classes combined).

We greatly appreciated the efforts of our judge, Karen TenEyck, who designed very fun and challenging courses. Her diligence regarding safety and her upbeat attitude and quick wit set the perfect tone for the trial.

Thanks to all who helped out to make the event possible and successful. Kudos to the many talented teams who competed in the agility trial!
